For some reason, I decided to book a tattoo appointment right in the middle of an epic snow storm. I had a pretty awesome morning of riding yesterday before I was on my way around 11:30 to Vancouver. I took a fifteen minute bus ride south to Function Junction...I was told it's a great place to get picked up. Two rides and two hours later I was dropped off in North Van down by the docks. My appointment ended up running longer than expected draining my energy, so I slept at my friend Alexa's house near by. Overall, I met some cool people and had some great conversations. Bummed I didn't get to see my other friends in Van though...Next time.
This is May. She picked me up in Whistler. Super friendly Squamish local who liked to cuss and complain. Very nice though.
Squamish. Raining.
This is Jordy. He likes to smoke cigarettes and weed with the windows up. He took me the rest of the way to North Van. A bit of a conspiracy theorist on this and that, but an excellent wilderness story teller.
I had to stop at Tim Hortons. Canadians love it more than Americans love Starbucks. Coffee not a latte.
Vancouver.
Sara. I always wanted a tattoo done by a girl. Don't know why. Rad artist.
In the morning I wasn't getting picked up and it was raining/snowing, so I decided to walk to a busier intersection.
Took some sweet side routes.

Dr. Dan! This guy was my favorite ride of the trip. He had just finished a 24 hour shift working in the paeds ward and was on his way home to Whistler. An all around good guy who rides 100 days a season in the winter and downhills and kite-boards in the summer.
Interestingly enough, we stopped in Function Junction on the way home to stop at Dan's favorite bakery. He bought me this tasty savory jalapeno cornbread and single drip coffee. Thanks Dan.
We also walked next door to a large art gallery his friend owned and shot the shit for awhile. Cool dudes. This awesome piece was $4000...NBD.
