UPDAAAAAAAAAAAATE

A quick look into the last week or so....I went back up to Whistler for a few days to hang with all my friends. Got lucky with another free spa day, ate some good food, drank some good drinks and had a lot of laughs. I am back in Van now taking it real easy!

Pat all Spa Ready...He laughs at spa rules...Shower first, I don't think so.

In case you forgot what the Spa looked like...

 Brohm Lake.

 Bandage off....such a small incision.
Kelsey took me around North Van for a hangout date day. The top half is Deep Cove and the bottom is West Van.

I had a mustache for a few days...Thought you'd like to see it.

Post Surgery Life

Nothing to report other than I've watched too many movies and tv series in the last three weeks. Feeling better everyday and can't wait to start some physio therapy to get stronger and get back to shredding. Probably going to not be posting much just because my life is sort of boring right now, but thats to be expected. Love and miss everyone!

Shoulder Re-Cap X Hood Pics X Random Pics

OK...For everyone I havent talked to: I have a Grade Three AC joint separation, which happened about a week ago now, snowboarding at Mt. Hood(Killing it there byw). There is a ligament connecting the collar bone to the acromion bone above the shoulder as well as ligaments connecting the collar bone to the coracoid bone. They're all completely torn. I've got surgery Monday where they'll be putting a plate in with a follow up surgery three months down the line. A small six month recovery and I'll be back to full strength killing it. Watch out for this guy.

It explains my injury, surgery, and recovery perfectly.  Look at the Grade 3 separation image and the early surgery image. The plate with hook is exactly what I'll be getting.

---------------DON'T IGNORE THE MT. HOOD PHOTOS....THEY MAKE ME HAPPY--------------

Glacier and Hood Screen Shots

These are all of me and they're all screen shots from raw vid...selfish I know...But this is for my parents...So eat that world. The top three are from the Glacier in Whistler and the bottom three are from Mt. Hood.

Post Mt. Hood Post

Here's the boring stuff. So officially I have a Class 3 AC Joint Separation in my shoulder(look it up) from catching my toe edge to shoulder scorp(look it up) on a rail last run at Mt. Hood a few days ago. Essentially my collar bone has a one inch or more gap from where it should be connected to my shoulder bones. Most pain I've been in in quite a while. I've got plenty of meds, good friends and one amazing girlfriend taking care of me and keeping me positive....so it's all good. After surgery, I'm going to crush the recovery process and be back better and stronger than ever. NOW....I had the best....I repeat the BEST time summer snowboarding and camping in Oregon at Mt. Hood. I road tripped down there with Kyle from work and his little brother Keenan. Life is so chill around Hood. We camped off of a random logging road about fifteen minutes from the mountain, the weather was amazing the whole time, and we picked up a bunch of next years swag for real cheap by sneaking into a coaches sale....AND of course shredded our faces off all day. So ridiculously fun. There will be some more photos from Kyle and a small edit as well.

SIDE MINI-POST: It wasn't good enough to just road trip to Oregon, so the day before I left, Kelsey took me to Bowen Island just a short ferry ride away from Vancouver. Her uncle has a place there and let me tell you, it is beautiful there! So quite and relaxing as well.

The Closing of the Summer Shred

This is the last week of summer shred here in Whis. The glacier will be shutting down this up coming Saturday, which is a total bummer of course. What doesn't suck though is the fact that all of the camps on the glacier are done and the only people riding will be the people in public park (Which = No Lift Line Ups) Another added to bonus(NBD) is that I'm going down to Oregon this Saturday to go snowboarding and camping at Mt. Hood. Going to Mt. Hood in the summer is something I've wanted to do for a super long time, so I decided to just make it happen.

We got tired of all the camps having special wrist bands to ride their parks, so we made our own for the public park.

One of my really good French friends from the Grill is moving away in two weeks so he gave me a friendship tattoo. Positive.Mental.Attitude.
